Associate Planned Giving Director –Tidewater Come join the largest charitable organization in the nation! The Salvation Army has an outstanding career opportunity in the Tidewater area (Virginia) for a professional individual to expand their skills and grow with one of the oldest and most successful planned giving programs in the United States. This position will visit with prospects and donors to solicit and secure planned gifts such as wills, trusts, and annuities. This will involve some overnight travel around the southeastern part of Virginia. This position will also work directly with attorneys, trust officers, brokers, and Salvation Army leadership to coordinate the details involved in promoting and securing gifts. A tactful and sensitive nature will be paramount in cultivating and maintaining these relationships. The successful candidate will have: • Affinity for the mission of a worthwhile Christian cause • Experience in helping people make decisions • Track record of achievement • Willingness to travel extensively • Proven superior communication skills One to three years experience in fund raising, estate planning, sales, or a pastoral background preferred.
