Howell & Associates in an Executive Search firm based in South Carolina.  We are currently conducting a Plant Engineer search with a mid-size manufacturing company located in Southeast Virginia. 

Overview:
- Candidate must have strong PLANT Engineer experience with a strong background in electrical principals / knowledge and mechanical background (higher preference on the electrical)
- Candidate must have more "Plant Experience" (on the floor experience) rather than "Office experience". Corporate Plant Engineer / Engineering Manager Candidates with minimal floor experience WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
- Must be "hands on", very strong leader, be able to see big picture issues / seek to resolve problematic short term / long term issues.
- Ensure all production machinery is running; minimize down time, take care of all building / facilities systems etc…

Requirements:
- Must have completed (4 yr); BSEE / BSME is preferred.
- May consider other background/ experience if candidates have significant Project and Electrical skills previously from another manufacturing company.

Plant Engineer will have one direct report - a very seasoned Maintenance Supervisor.

Several Maintenance Technicians report directly the Maintenance Supervisor.
