JOB LOCATION: BURLINGTON WASHINGTON
Candidates in this position will be responsible for defining interior and support components required to perform commercial aircraft cabin reconfiguration projects, assist with identifying alternate solutions where OEM product or designs are not available to support project needs, list required parts and communicate research findings to team members, develop and maintain action item lists, work with the drafting team to develop component and installation drawings, review developed component and installation drawings for accuracy and ensure design intent is met.
Required:
- Experience with reading and understanding commercial aviation component and installation drawings, related process specifications and guidance documents; specific experience with Boeing data systems required, AIRBUS familiarity a plus
- Experience developing a Bill of Material to support cabin seating rearrangement and monument relocation based on Boeing type designed installation drawings.
- Experience and understanding of FAA and EASA cabin safety regulations and experience with developing working interior installation and rearrangement drawings that meet those requirements
- Experience with checking drawings and design data developed by other team members and communicate findings
- Ability to use basic measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.)
- Familiar with MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
- A strong ability to accept instruction and learn quickly, attention to detail and aptitude to self manage efforts to meet a fast paced schedule in a quickly changing environment with limited supervision a must.
