Talent Acquisition Resources, Inc. is a boutique executive search firm that is assisting a Client in the Columbus, GA area in filling a Sr. Electrical Drives Reliability Engineer opening. 

The Electrical Drives Engineer position is part of the reliability group in the Client maintenance department.  This position supports AC and DC drives. The position is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining AC and DC drives and associated electrical equipment. It will include a direct working relationship with E/I technicians to include training, troubleshooting, repairs and occasional supervision. The position will report to the maintenance superintendent.

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

• Diagnosing and correcting drives system faults
• Industrial Electrical & Instrument plant maintenance
• Training of the hourly work force

 Requirements include:

•  Bachelors in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years experience with the following types of equipment preferred:
  • Large DC and AC motors
  • Coordinated drive systems
  • Stand alone AC & DC drive systems       
  • Programmable logic controllers
• Familiarity with ABB Stromberg and GE AC and DC drives, Rockwell AC drives and Rockwell ControlLogix will be a plus
• Ability to create, promote and work within team concept to initiate and manage change and improve overall equipment reliability
• Ability to work accurately in a fast paced industrial environment while meeting tight deadlines on multiple projects
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Familiarity with OSHA and safety LOTO procedures
