System Debug Engineer

Our client is looking for a suitable candidate who will be responsible for debugging of the tablet sub-systems (power, media, graphics, security, communication) and system performance of new products. 

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Debugging software driver defects to software component level using kernel debugging tools.
• Building and installing drivers.
• Working directly with Software Developers and Product Leads.
• Providing feedback and quick information turns on resolved defects.

Qualifications

• MS degree or a BS degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Minimum of five years of software development and 1 year system debug experience.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills.
• Solid working knowledge of Windows OS Architecture and Win32API for Tablets.
• Hands on experience with Device Driver Development and Application Development Environments for Windows (Visual Studio, WinDbg, Windows DDK, WDK, WDF etc).
• Familiar with source code build, configuration management and bug tracking/reporting tools for closed source projects.
• Strong root-cause analysis and triaging skills for complex software Systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft* SDK's* and diagnostic utilities.
• Previous sub-system software consumer device (STB, smart phone, tablet) debugging experience is preferred
• Self-driven and ability to multitask effectively
