Position: Mid Level to Senior Mechanical Designer (10-15 yrs.)
Assignment Duration: 6 months – 1 year possible permanent position
Location: Work location is in Orange County area
Experience: 5-15 yrs. experience in oil and gas industry, petroleum, refinery a must. Field experience required,, engineering degree helpful but not required, understanding of reliability & integrity program helpful, good understanding of equipment, piping components and related systems required , SAP experience helpful, great work ethics and attitude required.
Description: Support reliability & integrity project. Confirmation that all inspections and documentation are in-order for all critical equipment Product Terminal locations. Critical equipment includes items such as the following:
VRU
High level alarms and tanks
Certain relief valves
Surge relief valves
Control valves
Fire protection
Etc…….
The work will include the following:
1. Identification of all critical equipment at the site – site visits required;
2. Sap validation – access to SAP will be done on-site at the Plant;
3. Confirm that this list of equipment is entered in SAP – confirm equipment data gathered in the field to what is entered in SAP;
4. Confirm that inspection requirements are appropriate and in SAP;
5. Confirm that inspection frequencies are listed and being done as indicated in SAP;
a. Candidate will not actually do any inspections, we only confirm that they are appropriate and being done;
6. Identify minimum documentation required on file;
7. Confirm that client has in its possession the required minimum documentation.
a. A list of required documentation will be provided. P&ID drawings & valve diagrams are required. If there is no existing P&ID then there should be a valve diagram showing critical valves. No P&ID’s will be generated if there is none existing.
8. Work with site engineer for work schedule and any technical (engineering) assistance.
